The story behind GlobeFlix:
GlobeFlix was born out of a real problem we faced during my long-distance relationship. My partner was in Egypt, I was in the UK, and we loved watching movies and TV shows together — even remotely. But we kept running into the same frustration: Netflix (and other streaming platforms) have different catalogues depending on the country. We’d find something great to watch, only to realize it wasn’t available in both our regions. This happened over and over again, making it feel like we had to settle instead of enjoying the best options.

So we built GlobeFlix.
It’s a simple web app that helps you find movies and TV shows available in both your country and a friend’s. You can filter by platform (Netflix, Disney+), movie vs. TV show, genre, and sort by release date or rating — so you don’t waste time scrolling through unavailable content.

Right now, it supports 45 countries and 2 streaming services, but if enough people use it, we'll upgrade to a more comprehensive API to expand coverage.

We also have features such as VPN discounts, and are working on adding new features such as title search, single country search, and a watchlist system.
